Dining Room Dress Code
Cliveden has long been associated with entertaining and many guests choose us for celebrations and special occasions. Accordingly, the dress code is smart casual and sportswear is not appropriate.

Cliveden House is a non-smoking hotel. Should you choose to smoke in your bed room, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning surcharge upon or after your departure, which will be an additional nights room rate and further charges relating to the deep cleaning of the room may also be incurred.

Mobile Phones
We kindly request that you refrain from using mobile phones in the Great Hall, all public and private dining rooms and The Cliveden Spa.

The Cliveden Spa
The Cliveden Spa requires at least 24 hours’ notice if a treatment is to be cancelled without charge.

Guest Personal Property
Cliveden accepts no liability for any damage to or any loss of guests' personal property.

Driving on the Estate
The Estate is a wildlife haven and The Grand Avenue arrival at Cliveden is a pedestrian area, open to House guests and National Trust visitors alike. Guests are politely reminded to take care when driving within the grounds and we respectfully ask that you observe the 5mph speed limit at all times when approaching the House.

We are delighted to welcome dogs (aged 1 year and older) to Cliveden.

From the moment your pampered pooch is welcomed into the Great Hall, we ensure they have a stay to remember. A supplementary charge of £35 per dog in room per night applies. Dogs are welcome in the bedrooms and public areas, but not the dining rooms, The Spa or Walled Garden. Dogs are the full responsibility of their owners and should be well behaved.

We kindly ask that your four legged friends are well behaved and that you take full responsibility for their behaviour throughout the stay.

Please note there some National Trust restrictions within the estate, and dogs are allowed in over 250 acres of designated woodland paths but not in the gardens or lawns surrounding the hotel.

Babysitting is available through a third party company called Tinies (www.tinies.com), should you be interested please let a member of the Reservations Team know at time of booking and they will pass your details on.

Credit card details will be taken at the time of booking and the first nights room payment will be required to secure your booking. All outstanding charges to be settled on departure.

On arrival, guests will be requested to present the credit card they intend using to settle their account. The credit card will be pre-authorised.

All pre payments and deposits are non-refundable.

If your reservation has to be cancelled or amended within 48 hours of the date you planned to visit, we regret that we will have to charge you for each night booked.  If we manage to re book the room, you will not be charged.  You may wish to consider taking out insurance cover.
