To honour the centenary of Nancy Astor becoming the first female MP to take her seat in Parliament, we will be holding a series of Women in Power events to showcase and celebrate women who have become noteworthy within their respective fields. From politicians and journalists to sportswomen and magazine editors, the series itself and the events within it will represent powerful women across various industries and will tell the story of what it takes to become a woman in power from the perspectives of our guest speakers. Probably Cliveden's most famous resident, Nancy Astor made history by being the first female MP to take her seat in Parliament back in 1919!
