HR Officer - Maternity Cover (40 hours per week)

Join Cliveden House as a HR Officer. Your main duties will be to provide a comprehensive, confidential HR function to all Cliveden House staff, building strong relationships with both the employees and the Management team to support the achievement of our vision and values. 

Responsibilities 

Administration

• Maintain all job advertisements on our internet site and internal notice board.
• Manage all incoming CV’s and respond within 24 hours to candidates.
• Process contracts and offer letters.
• Create all Job Specifications.
• Complete wage adjustments and produce new contracts for change of hours or promotions.
• Ensure personal files and the HR system are constantly maintained with updated information.
• Process leaver documentation, Invite to exit Interview.
• Update staffing lists when required.
• Update reports for the HOD meetings.
• Organise accommodation for new starters where required.
• Arrange for all staff who has contact with food to have an up to date Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Manage and action post daily.
• Assist with training events and training courses.
• Liaise with the schools organising work experience placements.
• Conduct first month one to one review with new employees
• Ensure that all uniforms are ordered and supplied correctly to new employees and the correct process is completed for the return of uniform, locker key and fob for all leavers

General

• Conduct 1st day induction and complete paperwork when required
• Visit new accommodation to check suitable.
• Ensure that lockers are maintained and in working order.
• To be fully aware of your responsibility for Health & Safety.
• Place any newspaper adverts.
• Support and assist in the organisation of staff events and awards.
• Conduct telephone interviews.
• Ensure all interview feedback is collated and reviewed.
• Assist with staff welfare.

• Think and act in a goal-orientated manner, prioritising and completing tasks in order of importance.
• Deliver a team working approach with superiors, peers and cross functionally.
• Create close working relationships across all areas business and relevant business partners.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, being able to communicate effectively with all levels of management team.
• Display a confident and professional style at all times.
• Focus on self development.

Managing Others

• Coach, motivate and develop others.
• Adopt the team based culture where effective teamwork and identification with the team is key.
