As the past home of Dukes, a Prince of Wales and the Astor family, Cliveden has long enjoyed a prestigious and prominent social standing - one which continues to this day. The Cliveden Club is a social and country club whose members are restricted to no more than 300 and who enjoy many exclusive and extremely attractive privileges of this luxurious home away from home.
As a Club member you will have:
Your own place in the country, where you and your guests have the freedom to enjoy every aspect of Cliveden - its grounds, extensive sports and social facilities, luxurious bedrooms, fine dining rooms and extensive cellar book - all at preferential Club rates. Specific member privileges include free daily use of The Pavilion Spa, bedrooms available to members for up to eight guest nights each year at the members' rate. Should you wish to visit the South Coast we are delighted to also be able to offer preferential 'Privilege Card' amenities to you at our sister hotel Chewton Glen, subject to availability.
A variety of social events are held throughout the year, including a winter season of Soirées, Champagne and gourmet dinners, guest speaker lunches and informal themed dinners. At Cliveden itself, there is the Club Room and bar, converted in 1994 from the Duke of Westminster's stables. The Club Room makes novel use of the original stall divides as partitions between private dining areas and it is open every day for lunch and dinner.
